About Us
The ACVA is a volunteer committee of North Middlesex support the village of Ailsa Craig and its surrounding communities. The ACVA focuses on community engagement, village beautification, and local businesses.
Our group of community members support our vibrant, unique community and create a welcoming atmosphere here in our Village. We meet monthly and all community members are welcome to attend.
Through community fundraising and volunteer efforts we work together to contribute and improve our Village through projects and ideas from our own community.
Our Projects
Through-out a number of years the Ailsa Craig Village Association has been a leader in improving and maintaining beautification in our Village, like no other! Check out some of the projects we have taken on and our proud of:
- Purchase and maintenance of hanging flower baskets and planter boxes
- Establishing the dog park in support of the Municipality.
- Welcome to our Village Signs and
- Legends of Ailsa Craig Signs
- Seasonal lighted street decorations
- Main street banners
- Splash Pad with sun/shade shelter
- Several benches and garbage receptacles
- Hosting community events such as the Highland Games and Scottish Festival in July or the Car Show on the Labour Day Saturday.
